Rich with magnificent architectural detail, this historic conversion from church to luxury residence was the blank slate any designer dreams of. A deep dive into the client’s personal interests and lifestyle revealed a strong desire to keep their space youthful and a place to tell the story of their adventures together. Textiles acquired from travel and trophies of large game hunted became keystones of the design and inspired a bohemian aesthetic to furnish this young couple’s sacred space.

Because entertaining and dinner parties are a weekend staple, close attention was paid to the functionality of the bar and dining spaces as well as ample and cozy fireside lounging. With large windows and high ceilings, appropriate scale of furnishings became an important focus to keep the vast space feeling cozy and welcoming.
