As an active family of four, all intentions were set on a style that’s lovely but lived in. Materials were selected for both their aesthetic qualities and their ability to perform under the demands of entertaining guests of varying ages after a day of boating on Lake Sunapee or hitting the slopes.
Built in the 80’s this home possessed a charming patina which we unanimously determined to preserve. Clean lines were dynamically paired with graphic shapes and hints of bold color to embody a feeling of whimsy while artfully mixing elements of multiple design styles into each space.
Quartered cherry slab cabinets with a natural finish were the centerpiece of the kitchen. Panelized appliances, a base pull out spice unit, tray divider and floating shelves paired with state of the art appliances to make the space as functional as it was beautiful.
A meticulous balance between form and function was carried through the entire renovation while our team let traditional design rules fall to the wayside to curate materials, finishes and furnishings across multiple time periods, styles and trends.
