This dark and dated lakes region house was neither functional or aesthetically pleasing. Our clients were looking for an artful update focusing on the ability to accommodate their family now and as they grow.

A new family room, replacing an old screened porch, off of the kitchen offers a central location for kids and guests to relax. Creating an open-concept layout, adding french doors and new picture windows allows for more sunlight to spill in and circulate through the space. Complementing this airy feel, a warm palette of grays, blues, rusts and dusty rose against a neutral background pulls you through the space. Incorporating textured fabrics and heavy layers lends itself to a comfortable and lived in feel.
